Herewith a note which will I hope meet your
I am enclosing three copies of the last
Annual Report of the University, I also enclose copy
of the balance sheet of the University for 1928, and of
the draft estimate of income and expenditure for the year
1929. These accounts will I think show you that the Univ-
ersity is spending up to the last penny of its income.
In this connection might I refer you to the concluding para-
graph of my report on the working of the University for 1928,
(pages 11 to 13 of the Annual Report for 1928.)
